ABC's Opportunity Knocks with Ashton Kutcher

Boston Casting is seeking a studio audience to work for free on ABC's new Hit Reality Show, Opportunity Knocks, from executive producer Ashton Kutcher.

You must be non-union and age 18 or older.

Opportunity Knocks is a game show for families who win flashy prizes and lots of money! The studio set will be the contestants' house.

Job shoots Sat. 9/20/08 in Salem, MA.

Audience members will meet at 6PM in a parking lot nearby, then be shuttled to the set. The TV show will shoot from 7PM to 11PM. You may be on your feet for most of the show.

As with most studio audiences, there is no pay involved, although you can legitimately put it on your resume.

Boston Casting is seeking real-life fathers and their sons who can swim. This is for a major hotel print campaign.

Vehicles Needed in "Edge of Darkness"

Boston Casting is seeking vehicles to use in the upcoming film Edge Of Darkness.

Please make sure you can meet these requirements before submitting:
Production will be renting your vehicle Friday, August 15th through Monday, August 25th, with the possibility of extending to Wednesday, August 27th, as well additional days during the 3rd or 4th week of October. If your vehicle is chosen, you must drop it off this afternoon in Chelsea.

After dropping your vehicle off at the stage in Chelsea, you will have no access to your vehicle and no access to the set until the crew is done with yor vehicle, up to 13 days from now. There will not be exceptions.

Pay for vehicles is $130 per day. You will be compensated for up to 13 days in August.

Boston Casting needs dogs for Mel Gibson's film, Edge of Darkness, shooting mid-August to December in the Northampton, MA area. The job pays $50 per day.

Dogs must be:

Family needed for Getty photo shoot

C.P. Casting is looking to cast a Caucasian family that lives on or near Cape Cod. A mom and dad in their 30s or 40s and their 2 or 3 kids between the ages of 3 and 12. They are not looking to assemble a family. They want a real, related, true family.

The family is needed for a shoot for Getty Images, the leading supplier of stock images for business and consumers. They target three markets — creative professionals (advertising and graphic design), the media (print and online publishing), and corporate communication departments for other businesses. The shoot will involve the family posing for still photographs in various "on vacation" settings, sight seeing, on the beach, etc.

The shoot will take place on June 7 and/or 8 in the North Truro area of Cape Cod (approx. 2.5 hours from Boston). The family must be available all day, both June 7th and 8th, and be able to transport themselves to the shoot in North Truro, MA. The family will be provided meals, and paid $1000 for their participation.

"The Proposal" Coming to Gloucester

Touchstone Pictures will back first comedic role since Miss Congeniality, back in 2005.

The Proposal will co-star Ryan Reynolds and be directed by Anne Fletcher.

Filming is set to begin in Gloucester sometime in March.

The town of Gloucester will play the part of the state of Alaska, while Bullock will play a domineering Canadian boss who forces her younger assistant, Ryan, to marry her so that she won't be deported to Canada.


The Proposal is slated for a Valentine's Day '09 release.

Local casting is in the hands of Boston Casting, who are currently casting Adam Sandler's film Mall Cop, among others.

Marvin Gaye Biopic to Film in Boston

The Marvin Gaye biopic Sexual Healing will begin filming scenes in Boston by the middle of April.

The Soprano's James Gandolfini co-stars as Gaye's agent, while Marvin himself is played by Jesse L. Martin, of Law and Order and Rent fame.

The long-awaited indie film will tell the tale of the soul singer's last years, from his departure from Motown to his time in Europe.

Steven Turner’s book Trouble Man is the basis for Lauren Goodman's screenplay.
Gandolfini’s company, Attaboy Films, will produce the film.

Casting Man & Woman in Short Film

Joseph Fowler is currently casting two actors in a short student film, scheduled to shoot within the third week of February 2008.

This is an unpaid, non-union job. The actors will receive a performance DVD, as well as experiential credit to add to their resumes. They will also be credited in any film festivals to which the picture is submitted.

Role 1: A male actor, heavy-set, preferably with a beard, between the ages of 45- and 70-years old, to play a character who is working class, somewhat uncivilized, and has a great sense of humor.

Jennifer Garner & Matthew McConaughey Filming in Boston

The feature film "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" will begin filming in Boston in February. Ghosts will star Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey, who portrays a man whose ex-girlfriends' ghosts haunt him at his brother's wedding.

Garner's ongoing work includes producing the films Be With You and Sabbatical. McConaughey's current projects include Surfer Dude, The Grackle, and Tropic Thunder.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past will be directed by Directed by Mark Waters, with a screenplay by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

Also joining the cast are Anne Archer, Michael Douglas, Emma Stone and Lacey Chabert.

The feature film Bride Wars is set to begin filming in Boston in February 2008. Bride Wars will star Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.

The two beauties play best friends who set the same date for their weddings. When neither is willing to change the date, the bride war begins.

Hudson's most recent release was You, Me and Dupree. Hathaway just finished filming the screen version of Get Smart with Steve Carell.

Kwill Productions is casting non-union actors in the award winning screenplay Mind the Gap, a Boston University Graduate Film Production. Mind the Gap is a short film that follows 16 year old Sarah as she deals with working class life and her dad's job.
