C. P. Casting is seeking men and women in their late 20s to early 30s who are experienced rollerbladers with all their own equibment (blades, pads etc.).

This is a union job (non-broadcast) for FM Global Insurance.

The shoot will be indoors, all-day on Feburary 6, in Norwood, MA, all day, starting as early as 8:00am.

Casting Tween Girl in Adam Sandler Film

A nationwide search is underway for an actress to play the leading role of Maya in Adam Sandler's production Mall Cop. The film will shoot in Boston, beginning in mid-March 2008.

The character of Maya is a 10- to 12-year-old girl who lives with her dad, whom she adores. Maya is well-adjusted, emotionally mature, self-confident and very loving. The actress chosen to play Maya must be ethnically diverse-looking, very confident, outgoing, and enthusiastic.

Bruce Willis Films "The Surrogates" in Boston

The Bruce Willis picture The Surrogates will begin filming in Boston in February.i

The Surrogates is a futuristic thriller set in an age when humans live shuttered away and all their worldly interactions are carried out by humanistic, robot surrogates.

Willis plays a detective who, via his surrogate, investigates the killings of others' surrogates, and discovers a complex conspiracy in the process.

Jennifer Garner & Matthew McConaughey Filming in Boston

The feature film "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" will begin filming in Boston in February. Ghosts will star Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey, who portrays a man whose ex-girlfriends' ghosts haunt him at his brother's wedding.

Garner's ongoing work includes producing the films Be With You and Sabbatical. McConaughey's current projects include Surfer Dude, The Grackle, and Tropic Thunder.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past will be directed by Directed by Mark Waters, with a screenplay by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

Also joining the cast are Anne Archer, Michael Douglas, Emma Stone and Lacey Chabert.

Kate Hudson & Anne Hathaway in Boston

The feature film Bride Wars is set to begin filming in Boston in February 2008. Bride Wars will star Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.

The two beauties play best friends who set the same date for their weddings. When neither is willing to change the date, the bride war begins.

Hudson's most recent release was You, Me and Dupree. Hathaway just finished filming the screen version of Get Smart with Steve Carell.

Bride Wars will be directed by Directed by Gary Winick and produced by Hudson, with Firm Films' Julie Silverman and Sunrise Entertainment's Alan Riche.

The screenplay was competed by June Raphael and Casey Wilson. Casting by Boston's own Kevin Fennessy.

Scorsese/DiCaprio Film Casting Now!

Grant Wilfley Casting is holding an an open call for Martin Scorsese's new film, Ashecliffe, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and set in a 1950s mental asylum and a WWII concentration camp.

Actors are needed to portray doctors, nurses, orderlies, guards, patients (including interesting, quirky or unusual character faces), concentration camp prisoners, WWII American soldiers and German soldiers.

"The Women" Sets Release Date

The Women, starring lots and lots and lots of...women is said to be slated for release on October 10, 2008.

The Women filmed in and around Boston during September 2007 and helped a large number of local actresses become eligible to join the Screen Actors Guild.

Casting Non-Union for "Mind the Gap"

Kwill Productions is casting non-union actors in the award winning screenplay Mind the Gap, a Boston University Graduate Film Production. Mind the Gap is a short film that follows 16 year old Sarah as she deals with working class life and her dad's job.

Casting the following characters:

  • Sarah Sullivan: age range: 14-16years old. Sarah has a somewhat cynical view of life. She is not a cheerleader type.
  • Harold Sullivan: age range: 45-55years old. Harold has worked as a train conductor for 25 years. This shows on his face.
  • June Sullivan: age range: 45-55 years old. June is a mother who supports her husband and daughter the best way she can, by cooking and cleaning.

Bostonian accents welcomed, but not required. Ethnicity is currently open for all roles.

Shooting will take place in late February and March.

Compensation: $50 p/d, meals, copy of film, transportation
